Students, faculty and staff came out to speak at the open forum portion of the board of trustee’s meeting on Wednesday.

They came to show support for Faculty Senate President Bob Chester regarding him being misquoted in a recent article where it was reported that he called Cerritos College a homophobic institution.

Others were there to speak about accusations that ASCC should not have been able to use money from its funds to campaign for the G.O Bond because district money can’t be used to urge the support or defeat of a ballot measure or candidate.

According to President Linda Lacy, the ASCC is not funded by the district so the accusations were incorrect.
