In sports, teams are always pitted against each other to determine superiority.

Very rarely do we see sports compared against each other, and the reason why is simple.

Fall sports are head and shoulders better than spring sports.

To even compare football to sports like baseball and tennis is just an insult.

For starters, baseball has one of the most terrible positions in all of sports, the designated hitter.

Someone whose job it is to come of the off the bench and hit when called upon.

He doesn’t have to field or pitch, just hit and the occasional running if he does make contact with the people.

Now the point that the kicker in football has a similar concept may be brought up.

However, the kicker’s job one of the most high pressure jobs in any field.

When 60,000 spectators are watching, he must kick a ball up to 60 yards, through 18.6 feet wide goalposts.

Just one shot, not four chances to get a ball and a many foul balls he can tip off before he misses three pitches.

Even in the water, the water polo team has a distinct advantage over the swim team.

To just swim in water is something we’ve all done since we have learn but the ability to maintain possession and score a ball is what transcends this sport into an elite level.

Water polo is also one of the dirtiest sports of all because the referees don’t always see what happens beneath the surface.
