The Cerritos men’s basketball team will play in the semifinal of the 64th Modesto Junior College Basketball Tournament Friday after winning its opening round game over College of the Sequoias, 71-65, Wednesday.
The game, which is set to start at 8:15 p.m., will pit Cerritos (6-4) against the winner of Thursday’s game between Columbia and Compton Colleges.
If the Falcons win, they will play in the championship game Saturday at 8 p.m. If they lose, they will play in the third place game at 6:15 p.m.
DaJuan Wilson led the Falcosn with 17 points. Ryan Reyes scored 15 points, while Malcolm Heron added 12 and Geovanny Aispuro 11.
