The artist’s rendering, first published in the Talon Marks last November, shows what the new Senior Care Center will look like when construction is completed. The second photo shows the progress of the construction approximately one year later.
The Center is being built in the strawberry patch south of the Cerritos College campus on Studebaker Road. Construction began during the summer. Completion is expected in spring 2002.
The new center will house approximately 50 senior citizens. Because of its proximity to classrooms, nursing and cosmetology iinstructors will integrate frequent visits to the center, allowing students to obtain experience in their chosen field of study.
