Life is like a box of chocolates… you pick at all of the treats inside until you find just the one that you like.

In a way, Cerritos College can be like a box of chocolates. Instead of various chocolate treats, there is the opportunity to pick and choose majors until what is desired is found. Cerritos College is an awesome institution in that it allows its students to try several different majors or vocations before they commit to the one they like the most. That is not a bad thing. At 11 dollars a unit it is best to test the intellectual waters here than at a cal state, university, or private school where the cost can vary from $112-$280 a unit.

Cerritos teachers are qualified and capable of steering the undecided in the right direction. They hold the same B.A. and masters as the high cost schools. They have very flexible office hours for student questions. In addition they are motivated if not more so than teachers in other institutions to help students find their true path.

Cerritos clubs also help. With clubs like anthropology, astronomy, and psychology, they allow people to learn about possible career paths. The Feminist Leadership Alliance exposes student to issues and problems that students might want fight or fix. Leading to inspiration that help choose the proper educational preparation to deal with those issues.

With the end the semester here, there are many students moving onto higher educational institutions. Their minds set on majors that make them happy. Majors that might not be the same as the ones originally planned when first enrolled at Cerritos. Through Cerritos low cost risk, teachers, and clubs, the true major was decided on.
