“We have done this for 14 years now. It’s our (Student Activities) kick-off to help encourage students to get their Cerritos College IDs,” commented Dean Ackland about Welcome Day’s In-N-Out treats.

The Student Activities puts on a “Welcome Night” and “Welcome Day” for students at the beginning of each new semester.

This is to encourage students to be involved with campus activities.

In-N-Out came to help welcome the students back to campus.

Students stood in line out in the middle of Falcon Square to take part in several different activities.

Nursing major Susan Ortega said “I think it’s cool” about the whole event.

Each student that had a valid Cerritos College ID card received a burger, chips and a soda for free after standing in a long line.

Some students get their ID card for other than just a free burger.

“I got it to get into the movies for cheaper,” Computer Science major Matt Schenk.

Some had other reasons for coming to In-N-Out. Auto Tech major Jesus Barrios said “The cafeteria is expensive. A baked potato is four dollars from the cafeteria!”

It seems students will stand in a 10 minute line on a hot day to get free food and drinks.
