Imagine this. It’s been a bad morning, you stayed up late to study for an exam, maybe you have kids, your car is a piece of junk, your mind is on the upcoming game. But you still manage to make it to class on time.

But your teacher is almost 15 minutes to half an hour late. Doesn’t that make your blood boil? For me, when I bust my butt to make it to class on time, I would appreciate it if my teacher was on time too.

The funny thing is if we are late a certain amount of times, our grade gets marked down. Which means that if we are already struggling in that class, it hurts us even more. But teachers don’t get any penalty’s for wasting our time.

What if every time an instructor was late for class, they got docked in pay.

Would that satisfy you? Because I know it would make my smile a little bigger.

Now before evil thoughts of me pop into your heads, think of it this way.

Some teachers think that it’s rude and disrespectful to walk into class in the middle of his well written lecture. So what does it say about instructors when they are late for their own courses? Does that mean that they don’t have enough respect for us and our time to be on time.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I just feel like shouting, ‘You know, I didn’t pay for this course to have you be late all the time!’ Sometimes I feel like I got a lemon.
