The Associated Students of Cerritos College is accepting applications for its annual leadership conference.

The conference, which will be held Jan. 7-9, is open to all students.

Distribution and acceptance of applications began Monday morning. Shortly after noon, students had already turned in 20 applications.

Eligibility for this conference is minimum. Applicants must be a Cerritos College student, remain in good standing and maintain a 2.0 GPA.

There will be 80 students going on this trip.

Applicants will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. However, applications will be accepted until Nov. 22. It is useful to turn in an application even if 80 applications have already been turned in because, due to rules and changing circumstances all of the first 80 may not be eligible.

To apply, go to the Student Activities office and pick up an application. The application must be returned with a $50 conference fee. This is the only fee the student will have to pay for the entire trip. Transportation, lodging, meals, and entertainment are all included with this fee.

The fee is returned for students who are not accepted.

The weekend will include eight workshops on becoming a more effective leader as well as various team-building exercises. All students are invited to apply.
