Student Concern Day concerns food

The results are in Food is more important than safety, instructors, or tutoring. Student concern day was held last Monday, Nov.4 organized by the Associated Students of Cerritos College.Student Concern Day is held every year for the students of Cerritos College to have their concerns be heard.

This year’s results top three are 1. Food, 2. Parking, and 3. Financial Aid.

What steps are now to be taken?

ASCC Senator Tae Kim, how was the head of the committee had no comment for the article. “I don’t think is wise for me to say what’s next.”

On Thursday, ASCC senator Mehgana Mehta, attended the purchasing meeting, to allow the students voices to be heard. It turns out that many students of Cerritos College want a variety of foods, and more veggie foods.

A suggestion that was made in the meeting was asking the vendors to add a new veggie item to their menu. Another one was to bring in a Subway, into the mix.

“True, Subway had tried many times to join us, but they don’t want to invest into themselves.” Wayne Nunnery, Facilities Manager.

“We try to meet and satisfied everyone, unfortunately they’re going to be those saguaro grapes.” Nunnery said.

Taco Bell will introduce it’s latest new veggie burrito, and reminds everyone “if they don’t want meat in their meal that they can always ask for no meat in any of their items,” said Mariluz Yanez from Taco Bell.

With more concerns for food instead of education, dose this mean students are satisfied with the education offer at Cerritos? Or dose it means that students are just hungry?
