When college life is made humorous, we like it. But when somebody can combine both raw honesty and pure wit into the mix, we love it.

Steve Hofstetter’s book, “Student Body Shots- A sarcastic look at the best 4-6 years of your life,” does just that.

Hofstetter began to write this 99 page book when he was a junior in college and finished it two weeks after graduation.

The book includes a comedic foreword from ABC’s Boy Meets World , Rider Strong. Hofstetter met Strong while enrolled in a writing class in Colombia University, the school he attended.

While Hofstetter has attempted to shape this book from a more universal stand point, he admits that while in school, he majored in “fraternity.”

Never the less, Hofstetter managed to categorize the basic college experience intombeautifully organized sections in the book.

The section’s range from “The Daily Grind,” to “Men and Women,” to “The Supporting Cast.” One of the most hilarious section’s talk’s about Professors. “Some professors are funny. All professors think they are funny.”

The book does talk about alcohol a lot, which every student must admit, plays at least a small part in their college experience. “Before you hook up with someone at a Halloween party, make sure it’s actually a mask” Hofstetter had one goal when writing this book. To let everyone know that everything they’re experiencing during college is normal. The drunken nights, midterms, getting up early, and not getting the “A” is all normal. It all happens sooner or later.

In the book he says “Either way, my point is not to promote these things, rather to accept that they, like communal bathrooms , Instant Messenger, and mail rooms that steal and break stuff are a part of college. And the great thing about college is that regardless of if you want to study, party, do both, or do neither, there will be a place for you somewhere.”
