The Cerritos Women’s Basketball team routed the L.A. Harbor City College Seahawks 91-35.
The Seahawks allowed 14 Falcons to score in the game.
Shannah Aiono led the Falcons in scoring with 14 points while Ebony Kemp was the leader for the Seahawks. Because the game was handily decided early on in the second half, Cerritos was able give some playing time to many players off the bench.
That might prove very important down the stretch because Cerritos only has two returning players from last year’s State Semi Finals squad.
The will need experience to be successful in a very competitive conference such as South Coast Conference.
Cerritos will next face the Compton City College Tartars.
Eventhough Compton Has not dfeated Cerritos in five years this on paper looks to be a great match up of speed and tenacity vs Comptons solid defence and comptons ability to score lead byLaConia Hatcher.
