Competing against 33 other schools Cerritos Track and Field hosted and participated in the Cerritos College Invitational all day on Saturday.
Overall Cerritos had men and women individual runners who placed first in various track events, as well as placing first in a couple of relay competitions.
“We improved three seconds per lady, we’re getting better each week,” long distant running coach John Goldman said.
Saturday the Falcons will compete in the first conference match of the season at 9 a.m. at Pasadena City College.
The Falcons will be going up against Mt. SAC, El Camino and Moorpark who usually have strong athletes in all the events the team participates in.
“”This will be a tough competition, but we’ll get a chance to see what we can do,” Goldman said.
