At least 85 Cerritos students have done a survey regarding the use of MySpace on campus Jason Macias, commissioner of information technology said on Monday during the ASCC Cabinet meeting.

He added that he will have the survey on www.surveymonkey.com for another week. Out of the 85 students who did the survey there were three questions that were asked about social web site such as MySpace and Friendster.

? 89 percent of students say they have a MySpace account between the ages of 18-21 years old? 66 percent of students spend one or two hours on MySpace with 20 percent of other students say they spend three or four hours on MySpace. ? 45 percent of those surveyed say that there should not be a time limit compared to 40 percent who say there should be. ? Lastly 33 percent say that being on MySpace say that being on it has valued compared to 32 percent who say that there is not a lot of value to the web site.

Macias concluded that he will see within a few days to see if any other students answer the questionnaire.
