Sophomore singles tennis player Derek Siddiqui, who is ranked No. 1 in Southern California, was named the South Coast Conference’s Player of the Year for the second consecutive second.
Siddiqui has a 16-0 record this season and has advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Southern California Regional Tournament.
Head coach Alvin Kim was also named the conference’s Coach of the Year.
Kim, who also took over the coaching duties as well as the men, led the men to a 14-2 (9-0) record and the women to a 4-11 (3-6) record.
