With former Cerritos College baseball players making headlines in local news, the 2002-03 baseball falcons are practicing hard on paving the way to their own success.

“Sacrifice and commitment is what a player needs to make it,” says Coach Gerardo Perez, who is a former athlete and this year’s baseball coach.

Although these falcons have lost valuable players to higher leagues such as T.J. Bruce and Ronnie Prettyman, this team has gained a mint of talented players.

Along with Ryan Andrews; Jason Kayton; Orio O’Neill; Jose Rodriguez; and Jimmy Shull, this year’s team has some promising stats ahead of them.

Everyday has its new challenges and although Coach Perez has every bit of faith in his players, it’s still early in the season.

With a roster full of talent, and the players in all the right positions, this team will add to the grandeur of being a true falcon athlete.

Playing with a sense of history and respect imprinted on the field from former falcons, the team carries a sense of pride while sporting the 2002-03 falcon uniform.
