This years homecoming has taken up the theme “Scary Moments”.

With homecoming court elections on October 16 and 17 applicants are making sure to meet all the requirements of taking the role of becoming the next homecoming queen.

To be a homecoming queen one must have a 2.0 grade point average and be enrolled in five units here at Cerritos College.

Applicants can be independent or sponsored by clubs.

It has been said that unlike high school, ” this is not a popularity contest. I have seen independent and sponsored women make it to the top seven, ” Trudy Foster said.

Just as students voted for the senate, the process is the same for homecoming elections.

The court will be narrowed down to seven finalists.

Along with the other judges the seven finalists and their escorts have the responsibility of judging the floats.

The queen will then be chosen on the night of homecoming.

As far as for the guys their moment will come on Hoe Down when they will compete for in the Mr. Cerritos Contest.
