The Cerritos College Falcons commenced the 2003 season with the South Coast Conference Relays on Friday.
The Relays consisted of 8 participating southern California Junior Colleges. The relay was used as a warm up for the up coming meets including the Jack Rose Relays on the Saturday and the Cerritos Invitational on Feb. 28.
Even though the relay was in practice format and there was no winner Cerritos had 4 Falcons get the fastest times and 5 had the second fastest time out of all 27 races and events on Friday.
“We were very happy with the results” Track Coach Doug Wells said about his teams performance. “No Injuries and no surprises,” Wells said “That’s pretty good.”
The Falcons did particularly well in the 600m were they captured the first and second fastest times.
The Falcons will next run at Long Beach State in the Jack Rose Relays on Saturday.
