Men’s soccer defeats Pasadena in conference play

Coming off its first loss of the season, the Cerritos men’s soccer team used that loss to Mt. SAC as motivation and it showed in the final result, posting eight goals and allowing nothing dominating Pasadena City College.

Luis Gonzalez, forward, didn’t score against Mt. SAC, that was not going to be an issue against Pasadena. Gonzalez led the way scoring four of the eight goals.

“Coach Benny Artiaga told me to score five goals today and he wouldn’t accept anything less. I just missed it so I’ll see what he does to me,” said Gonzalez with a smile. “The Mt. SAC game was a huge game for us, and we lost, so we just used it as motivation today and it helped.”
