The movie starts of with a girl being chased in the woods by two men who later on trap her and tie her up in a basement where she gets burned alive to cleanse her body because she is being possessed by an evil spirit.

Then the movie moves on with a couple of friends meeting up in the cabin to support Mia, who is trying to recover from her drug addiction.

The movie takes a turn for the worst when they find a hidden cellar door and an evil book made out of the human skin that summons the evil spirits that possess Mia.

The special effects used in the movie are amazing and show how much tolerance people have when it comes to the gore that is presented to the movie goers.

The movie isn’t for the faint of heart; it disgusts people in ways that didn’t seem possible.

Every scene of this movie seems to push the boundaries further with imagery of dismemberment and gushing blood that will make movie goers wince more than once.

One of the most memorable scenes is where Mia cuts her tongue slowly through the middle so it can be forked then kisses one of her friends in a blood-filled mess.

The movie falls short to actually being a scary movie but is still an entertaining movie that is better than all of the horror re-makes.
